Earth Day at Sola: Bee Garden Tour & Community Classroom Open House
Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025 from 4 - 6 PM
Sola Gratia Farm 2200 Philo Rd. Urbana, IL
Happy Earth Day! At the heart of our operation lies sustainable agriculture and we are dedicated to practices such as:
Soil building and conservation
Creating habitats for pollinators and wildlife
Organic, integrated pest management
Cover cropping
Crop rotation
Nutrient management
Conserving water through drip irrigation
+ Many more!
We also have opportunities for our community to come together and celebrate Earth Day at Sola Gratia Farm!
Join us at Sola Gratia Farm for an Earth Day Event + Community Classroom Open House on April 22nd from 4 - 6 PM. We are excited to offer a public tour of our bee garden, share about our efforts towards supporting local flora and fauna, plant some more native species (weather permitting), and build bee hotels and puddlers for the garden.
Happening concurrently is the first of FOUR Community Classroom Open Houses! This is a wonderful opportunity to explore and engage with our outdoor education space. Make sure to take note of how the Community Classroom looks in April, as you’ll be amazed how much a growing space, like a garden or farm, transforms throughout the season! Attend all four Community Classroom Open Houses, and you’ll be entered into a raffle for some exciting farm goodies! For the April open house, guests can expect a spring garden scavenger hunt, crafting, and building some take-home pollinator supports for your own gardens!
